Message from Dr. Muhammad Raza Naqvi MD , Consultant Hematology and Oncology

I am sure that you or your loved one must have come across this sinister disease in your life of cancer.  This is 1 of those diseases that if diagnosed in time a lot can be done to prevent it from becoming aggressive and spreading to other parts of the body.  Although cancer treatment is a multimodality specialty but medical oncology and hematology has come a long way in the last 15 to 20 years.  We have research protocols that have given to us a lot of novel medicines today that have essentially transformed the notion of cancer being a killer to it being curable in some cases and being chronic disease and others.  Our goal is for you to become cancer free and if not possible at least being able to manage the cancer well enough to lead to perfectly normal life.  Will look forward to taking care of you or your loved ones and hoping to make life easier for you

Dr Muhammad Raza Naqvi is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist who has received his medical degree from arrival pending medical College in Pakistan.

He then pursued further education in the United States of America and data residency in internal medicine followed by fellowship and hematology and oncology.

He brings a wealth of experience and has over 11 years of experience in the current field.  He has been part of clinical trial design and teaching of the residents and fellows and his initial roles as an assistant professor at SUNY upstate University in New York where he was director of GU and GI oncology and took an active part in clinical research design both pharmaceutical and industry sponsored as well as cooperative groups.

He also brings a lot of experience of community oncology having worked in multiple different state such as Texas and Colorado and currently serves as a medical director in Colorado at Intermountain health Hospital in Lafayette.

He is an avid speaker and also speaks for Bristol-Myers Squibbs and has presented many manuscripts at both local as well as international chapters.

He is a compassionate physician who has his heart at the right place and really feels strongly about providing appropriate care to the patient keeping in mind their performance status specifically the age and practices on the notion of health care for all.  He is of the opinion that cancer treatment is not One size fits all and there is no cookie-cutter treatment in cases of cancer and the plan has to be individualized in every case and every care of the patient.

He strongly believes in addressing an understanding the molecular pathways that has led to cancer formation in her particular case and then essentially choosing a medicine that will block that pathway that results in cancer proliferation.
